Delft Spline Systems is a Dutch software house, founded in 1985, specialized in the development and the use of CAD/CAM software for complex freeformed geometry. We started as spin-off of Delft University of Technology, releasing a CAD/CAM program called SipSurf. This was MS-Dos software offering Spline surfaces (NURBS), which explains the company name.

In 1995 we released a completely new program called DeskProto: Windows software for "Subtractive Rapid Prototyping", which has been our flagship product ever since. DeskProto offers "3D CNC machining for non-machinists". It reads STL files from any 3D CAD system, and exports NC files for any CNC milling machine. More information on www.deskproto.com.

In addition Delft Spline Systems used to be a reseller for two brands of desktop CNC milling machines: Isel (Germany) and Roland (Japan). However, in 2026 we stopped offering machines, in order to focus only on software.
